This is another airbrushed sketch that I drew in my spiral notebook. It's my mind's twist on my plush panther by the same name. I tried to go for a sleek "hidden in darkness" look. I used new methods of highlighting (paired with shading) to create more dimention.
This is really nice, I like the velvety look the soft lighting gives the panther. As a sugestion, you should try doing a piece like this without any black lines and let the shadows and lights define the character.
"Animals don't behave like men..they don't sit down and set their wits to work to devise ways of spoiling other creatures' lives..They have dignity and animality."WatershipDown
I'm glad you like it! When I started this, I was aiming to try something new by using the highlights...I guess it turned out okay!
I tried taking out the black lines, but it looked a bit funny! I still have the layers so I could fiddle with it and see what I can come up with! Thanx for the suggestion!
Wolves, panthers & bears are my top 3 fave animals...do you do bears? I would love you for life if you did...wait, the wolfies and Kali mean I already do!! Then...I would die of happiness and be resurrected from the joy!

You think killing people might make them like you but it doesn't. It just makes people dead. ~ Lord Voldemort in A Very Potter Musical Act 2, Part 9.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
